In case anyone is interested in a bit of a chase, a Northern Parula has been seen and photographed in the Southern Okanagan. It has been frequenting a woodlot in the company of B.C. Chickadees and G.C. Kinglets at a place called Inkameep Provincial Park and Campsite. This is approximately 41/2 kms. from the community of Oliver. Our friend, and former resident birder, Thor Manson has sent me some excellent pictures of this little guy. I haven't been able to get away but if he sticks, I'll be on the highway!

It just goes to show, that you never know what bird will turn up next!
Good luck Murray if you do chase this bird.

Tempted to join you, Murray! But it won't be happening. Since I hear it is still around, send my greetings to Thor when you see him! I haven't seen him since March.
Best wishes on the chase if you are going!

Thanks guys, Brian Stech and myself headed out fairly early yesterday morning and were met by Thor and about a dozen Okanagan area birders at the site. We were told that it had been seen earlier in the morning but it remained elusive and could only be heard calling from time to time over the next 3 hours. Finally, at 2:15 one of the ladies yelled out "That Chickadee has a yellow breast" And from that moment on, everybody present had fabulous up-close, views of the little charmer. Thanks to Thor, Russ Cannings, and Jess Finlay, for there persistence in helping us get to see it.
B.C. bird no. 406 and counting!!!

Murray awesome news!! Great to see it sticking around so people can see it. 406 is amazing. It just goes to show though that we live in such a diverse province.
