we were just in Mexico...we saw so many different birds approx 80 the list is still in progress (still doing some identifying ) The highlight has to be the owl and a green kingfisher also a broad winged hummingbird also a new one for us was a yellow breasted chat chachalaca black bellied whistling duck gadwall ruddy ducks least grebe herons black crowned yellow crowned Green great blue little blue egrets reddish tri coloured snowy great cattle turkey and black vultures neotropic and doublecrested cormorants crested caracara American oyster catchers Grey hawk wandering tattler long billed curlew oriel of all different types white ibis to name a few... fun to be sure too many photos to put them all on but if anyone wants to see any thing in particular if i have a picture of it i will post it

Trudi, wonderful pictures of the owl!! It must have been a great trip and so many awesome birds seen. Since you offered, I wouldn't mind seeing if possible pictures of the Black-bellied Whistling Duck and/or some of the Egrets or Herons that we don't see here at all, when you get a chance.

Great photos! One day I would love to see a Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl. I have heard Texas has a few there. Any pics of Neotropic vrs Double-crested Cormorants???
