Didn't see lots of bird species on the trip to see the sockeye. But I did see a few. Looking out of our hotel room window in Salmon Arm, I spotted a male Ring-necked pheasant across from the parking lot ;D. He was on a lawn with some brambles and a shed. The drive back to the hotel produced dozens of Bald eagles in the trees along the Thompson River . No doubt they were there for the salmon run. I also saw flocks of Canada geese in farmers' pastures and in flight.

So much relies on the salmon!
A male Ring-necked Pheasant is always a treat.
