A relatively quiet hour in the wetlands yielded the following:
20+ Black-capped Chickadees 5 Song Sparrows 25 Yellow-rumped Warblers (mostly juveniles) 2 Towhee 2 Belted Kingfishers 12 Robins 1 Downy Woodpecker 6 Pied-billed Grebe Lots Canada Geese Lots Ring-necked Duck 3 Red-winged Blackbirds 3 American Wigeon Lots American Coot 10+ Wood Ducks 15 Mallard 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 Great Blue Heron 3 Red-shafted Flicker 3 Juncos 2 Stellar's Jay 20+ Crows (Flyby)

Dave, have you noticed if the flocks of blackbirds are going into the marsh in the evening? Seems they come to roost there during the fall, often a hundred red-wings and couple dozen Brewer's blackbirds. If you get there early enough in the mornings, you can see them go. Just curious if they're still doing that. Nice little list!

The blackbirds I saw were in the far marsh on the opposite shore of Cheam Lake. I saw them off the duck viewing platform in the cattails. So the answer is "Yes"!
