Hello birders,
after confering a number of bird guides and the internet, we have concluded that the bird seen yesterday at the airport was a first year Blue-headed Vireo. We were able to get good comparisons with the other three Cassin's Vireos in the area. The bird's head was a dullish blue colour with a definite shapness from the hood to the white throat. The wing bars were yellow, which is a distinctive mark in some of the guides that were looked at, while the Cassin's showed white wing bars. Unfortunately, I was paying such close attention to the birds that I didn't look at street names.
Here are some directions to the spot. After taking the turnoff from the highway you will notice signs to the airport. After crossing the railway tracks, you take a right. You will come to an intersection where you can go straight or left. (There are a couple of horses at this intersection in a weedy field) It was at this corner that the fallout occured. The bird was seen on both sides of the road.
Good luck if anybody gives it a go.
Cheers, Brent Schmor Harrison Mills

Brent, nicely done. Buffy wingbars would be suggestive of a young bird as well (for both Blue-headed and Cassin's Vireos).
