A Lewis's Woodpecker is hanging out at a cedar stump along Hot Springs Rd. The closest address is # 3344-Hot Springs Rd. but the easiest way to find it is to look for the big stump with 2 long, upcurved branches that have been cut off. It played peek- a boo- with me for awhile but I eventually managed to get a few decent shots of it sitting in the sunshine. Along the breakwater outside the lagoon were 2 or 3 American Pipits and 2 Vesper Sparrows.

Great sighting Murray and I was wondering if someone would spot a Lewis's Woodpecker this year.
