Marilyn and I went for a walk along Matsqui trail at the end of Gladwin Road and while there saw lots of Y.R. Warblers, a couple of them being of the Myrtle variety. We also heard and then saw my first for this year Green Heron in a tree near the pond. Happy birding, John Vooys

Nice work on the heron!
If Im right, the 'Myrtle' form of the yellow rumped warber is more common in the east and the north of the province, while the 'Audubon' form is most common in the west and the one we're likely to see unless it's migration time like it is now.
