I just had a male Rose Breasted Grosbeak at my feeder over here in Harrison Mills by Eagle Point Park. It was with a bunch of Black headed Grosbeaks, although they keep chasing it away from the tray. I've got pictures of it for proof. ;D ;D ;D

Kathy, again super work! A bird that we dont often get in BC especially down here. They're as common as our Black-headed Grosbeak to the east. This is the second one for the area that Im aware off and the first that has been photographed. Congrats! ;D ;D

Great bird Kathy I saw your photo and it locks similar to one I saw at keefer across the Fraser from Boston Bar airfied. The one I saw was a mature male and looked like a perfect Rosbrested except it had a rim of orange around the red breast a hybrid. All the best Denis

No sign of the Grosbeak so far today. Saw him last about 5:30 pm last night. I had, at first wondered if it was a hybrid as well as I'd only seen mature males before (in Alberta), but when I checked Sibley's, this one didn't look anything like the hybrid shown in there. Thanks, Gord for the explanation of why it had the brown coloration mixed in.
I'll keep watching.
Kathy
