Hello birders,
I saw my first Common Yellowthroats of the year at Wilband Creek Park in Abbotsford. All together, there were about 15 calling all over the place. Of the 30 species seen, the only other migrants were Barn, NWR, and Tree Swallows.
Good birding,
Brent Schmor Abbotsford

Right on! Migrants are coming. I heard my first common yellowthroat this year at Prest Road overpass this morning on my way to work. I've also had 20 or so American pipits in the field behind my place. Other than that, I've noticed some white/albino mallards lately. As for the feeders, I decided to leave it go for a bit since the female blackbirds seem to think I have limitless resources. Which I don't. P.S. Saw a flock of Varied Thrushes on Little Mtn. on Sunday, due to the snow on the mountains over the weekend, I guess.
