Hello birders,
Today, I went for a walk at Matsqui Trail Regional Park, along the eastern most section, and found a few migrants. The best bird of the walk was a Townsend's Solitaire hawking insects and not bothered at all by my wife and I. We also saw large flocks of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, as well as Violet-green and Barn Swallows. In the farmers fields five American Pipits were seen. Rufous Hummingbirds were everywhere and I heard a few Brown-headed Cowbirds.
