Along Bear Mtn. from the from step of the Ranger Station Art Gallery, I just spotted a Nashville Warbler. Draw by an odd call... sounds a little like sweet, sweet, sweet, twitter, twitter, twitter, twitter...
Got the bins on it for a good 5 seconds, bright yellow throat, looked like a male.
Tried for a photo, but its hiding in the bush, will try at lunch.

Lunch time: Climbed 20 ft. to 30 ft. up Bear Mtn trying for photo, but the warbler was just toying with me. Got a couple of more looks, but it flitting about with some yellow-rumps - too quick for photos.

Great sighting. It will be interesting to see if there is the same amount report as last year.
A lot more birds will start arriving now.

Yes Chris, lots of birds on the move this past week, got to keep our eyes and ears open...
As of 4pm, the Nashville was still singing and flitting around. It has moved a little south and is on the mountainside just across from the condos. Also hearing a winter wren, red-breasted nuthatch a lots of Yellow-rumps.
