Took a detour on the way to business this morning and found the 1st year glaucous gull and an adult western gull in fields on the east end of Sumas Central Rd.
Lots of gulls all over. Didnt have time to look hard, but no slaty-backed.
On the way back, checked the area I saw the bohemian waxwings last week. The trees were empty. Not a robin or starling in sight!
A great day for birding. Im torn between an afternoon birding or fishing trip (although my fishing trips usually consist of more birding than fishing anyway)
