Gord found a Bohemian Waxwing today along Prest Road between CHWK Central Road and the railroad tracks today. I will be out looking for this bird as well tomorrow morning! Dave

Thanks Dave! Good luck finding him tomorrow. Just south of Sweetbriar Road which itself has several berry bushes and trees. A photo in flight showing the neat white in the wings that our more common (in the summer anyway) Cedar Waxwings lack. Landed right over my vehicle! He was quite active often doing some flycatching off the trees. Must have been some bugs of some sort flying about. Over a dozen American Robins as well enjoying the berries.

Gord, my that Robin is a handsome bird! The picture is very dramatic with the dark background and the bright red berries. Good find on the waxwing and let's hope it's the beginning of a big year for irruptive species. Maybe I'll finally get the Hoary Redpoll that I have lusted for these many years!

Murray, fingers crossed! Thanks too. I was happy when that robin landed close.
