The 1st picture was taken at Prairie Lake Sask in late June. There was a large goup of these flying around the trees very loud and vocal. Could they be juvenile Western Kingbirds? They seemed shorter and more stout that Western Kingbirds that I have seen. The 2nd photo of the LBJ was taken in a private garden in Valemount BC, in early July. Any help with these ID's would be very much appreciated! -Pat

Hi Pat.
Yes, you are correct with the ID of Western Kingbird on your first photo and the second photo looks like a Swainson's Thrush.
