Hello birders,
The Western Scrub Jay was still present on Higginson Rd. I saw the bird at about 1:45, after about an hour wait. The birds in the yard seemed quite skittish, so I wonder if there is a Cooper's Hawk staking the place out. I did not see the Harris' Sparrow that was reported earlier in the week.
I saw a Glaucous Gull on the north side of the highway in a field close to the Vedder Overpass. I checked the Gulls on Central Prairie road and didn't see the Glaucous or Western Gull. The Gull I saw could be the one that has been reported from this location.
Good birding, Brent Schmor Abbotsford
