Checked out Cheam Lake Wetlands in the afternoon. All the ice was melted away and there was more action on the lake. Species were: 1 male redhead 36 trumpeter swans 45 canada geese 2 cackling geese 130 lesser scaups 75 ring-necked ducks 8 hooded mergansers 4 common mergansers (all males) 14 bufflehead Mallards Wigeon 2 belted kingfishers About 200 American coots 1 double-crested cormorant And for daily bummer: 2 rats of the vehicle-breaking-in species. Dirtbags. Got a vauge description through the binoculars. Didnt get a chance to digiscope them from the viewpoint. Be careful with your vehicle and belongings! Some pictures. The swans were fairly close and offered nice views.
