This is from Kathy's trip. Im pretty certain it is a Philadelphia Vireo. Lots of yellow on the throat, the dark lores and eyeline, dark cap, short tail sure looks pretty good! This was from Ten Mile Provincial Park just outside of Quesnel. Outside the 'regular' range of this species that comes into BC in the extreme northeast of the Province. Well done, Kathy!! ;D ;D

I guess that is why I couldn't figure out whether it was a Red Eyed or a Warbling....it was neither! I'll have to make a note of this on my blog and also change my notes so when I get to sending in my B.C. Birding Atlas data....I'll be able to mention this possible sighting. When trying to ID I usually check and see who should be in the area and go from there....not confident enough to say it is a rarity - unless it is really obvious like that Palm Warbler last year. Thanks
