Hi- The weather has brought in a record number of birds to our backyard today including a Yellow Variant House Finch. I've included a list of birds we've seen today with special visitors in CAPS. Black-headed Grosbeak Evening Grosbeak Cowbirds Starlings House Finch Purple Finch YELLOW VARIANT HOUSE FINCH Golden-crowned Sparrow White-Crowned Sparrow WHITE-THROATED SPARROW (male and female) LINCOLN SPARROW CHIPPING SPARROW Song Sparrow Juncos Towhees Stellar’s Jay Red-Breasted Sapsucker Red-Breasted Nuthatch Black-capped Chickadee Chestnut-Backed Chickadee Robin Downy Woodpecker Hairy Woodpecker Northern Flicker Orange-Crowned Warbler American Goldfinch Pine Siskin Red-Winged Blackbird (female only) Rufous Hummingbird (A neighbour reports seeing a Calliope hummingbird at her feeder today.)
