Hi- After all few tell tale signs in the snow this past winter, I felt obligated to provide some protection for the ground feeding birds from opportunistic hawks. The cedar feeders are perpendicular to each other and placed under a Tall Oregon Grape for cover from prey and the elements in the hope that one lookout can alert the rest. This seems to be working just fine and has become a popular spot. I took this photo this morning in snowy Hope: Deb

Deb, overlooked this one. Great idea. I think providing multiple vantage points is very good thinking. Feeders do create blindspots but you found a great way to get around it. I dont mind hawks at my feeder but I also dont mind helping the birds avoid them too. Not sure if I contradict my opinion or have just found a good balance between the two. Thanks for sharing!
