Bruce and Joanne's generosity has resulted in a nice new domain and website for us. Please join me in thanking them!! ;D ;D
After a few months of tinkering, I was able to upload the result. One major benefit, not readily visible, is the ability to update the site with more ease. I was humbled by what I did not know when I made the first site. I know I will be humbled yet again as I learn more too! I think I like the new format with larger pictures and a new perspective.
Maps are new and display our western border much more accurately. It takes off where the Vancouver Checklist leaves off.
The monthly challenge is all up to date. Fun to see what we've seen!
I updated the seasonal status checklist. I know there is a lot more information out there; Im excited to receive it and put it in the database. We are at 314 species as of now.
I have only one bird species done for a test (slaty-backed gull) but more will quickly follow.
I have not done a lot of testing, so I expect some glitches. Please let me know what you might find. There's more, but Ive had enough computer for one night!
Guess I should provide the URL...
www.fraservalleybirding.com
One last look at the mainpage showed me that the photo of the month is not working....and Im not sure why. In the meantime, Ill provide the path. (is the thumbnail for the Western Tanager out of whack for other people too?)
