Hi, Happy New Year. As promised to the person whose scope I have borrowed, I would post everything I see through it on this forum! ;D Anyway, my wife and I got away for a trip to White Rock, we also got in a lot of good bonding and birding time! I found 4 life birds. Mute Swan by the bridge to Reifel Bird Sancutary. ;D Long Tailed Duck - off the peir at White Rock ;D The other life birds for me were: White winged Scoter Red Head. Here are a few more pictures. Ring Necked Pheasent - by the Boundary Bay airport. Western Grebe - off the peir at White Rock. We went to Reifel and walked the snowy trails. We found out that the 250 ducks at the entrance are very hungry at this time of year! I had a rock dove repeatly try to land on my head while the mallards, coots, and everthing inbetween basically stopped you from going any further . Once we made it past the entrance it was fine. There are some others that I am still trying to identify from pictures. I will try to post them in the 'identify' section soon. Here are some more highlights from the list on this trip: Eurasian Widgeon All three Scoters Harlequin Duck Brown Pelican - White Rock!

Bill, great to hear you're getting out and seeing things! Congrats on the lifers.
The Brown Pelican is a great sighting. I havnt heard of one being seen out that way for a little while.
Look forward to further outing reports and to see your pictures too.
