Do goslings count as a new sighting? We saw two sweet little goslings at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve today, we think in celebration of Earth Day! Here is the link to their cute little selves on our journal for today: www.butterflyonmyshoulder.ca/Journal/04_08/04_08-11.htm

Deb, excellent! That's the first one Ive heard of this year!
132 species of this month, 133 with what is probably a Costa's Hummingbird as well. Several of the 133 are uncommon to rare species as well.

Well, barring any new reports we're at 139 species for April. Good work everyone! One good and one GREAT hummingbird species were a bonus. Thanks for finding an Anna's Cliff! I had a male Bullock's Oriole at Island 22 today. Also added American Dipper as once again that species got overlooked. I saw some on a fishing trip earlier this month at the Vedder River. A trip with it's own comical tales of April's cold wind up to its tricks that Ill spare you all the details on. ;D ;D Looking forward to May's list! (edit) A Black-headed Grosbeak was seen today as well!
