I saw 2 owls before dusk at Angus Cambell road in Abbotsford. One of them landed and turned into a Short-eared Owl. I had some great looks at this one and suspect the other was a Short-eared as well. I hung around till after dark but didn't observe any other birds of interest.

Add a Calliope Hummingbird.....I just had a female at my feeder. There was a Rufous female there at the same time so the difference was pretty obvious.

please add a pair of Cinnamon Teal at the GBHNR today. We'll have photos of them on our website tomorrow or thursday. Also, we'd like to say that the article on responsible birding and the Marsh Wren article are great Gord. Bruce & Joanne

Add Western Meadowlark. Saw one along the Jesperson dyke. I was surprized to see one cause I haven't seen in a long time. I also saw 5 Greater Yellowlegs and yellow rumped warblers.

Aw well a male Cinnamon Teal was seen swimming in the Canal at McGrath and Camp River Rd in Rosedale on April 15/08. Right by the Rhodo Farm. There was a female wood duck trailing behind him....is it possibly for them to xbred?
