Congrats on a great yard bird! Harris's Sparrow is definitely a rare bird, and it would be interesting for the records to know how long it stays around. Last year there was an individual that hung around Island 22 for quite a while, so please keep us posted on this one.
Thanks a lot for sharing this rare bird with us, and even better that the posting came with great pictures!

i'm sad to say that this little fella has flown the coop. he was only around for one day, the day of the CBC. we all have our noses pressed against the windows in hopes of seeing him again, but no luck. at least he stuck around long enough for me to get some pics

Surprised it was a one-day-wonder! Often these guys stick around but who knows for sure what goes on.
Congrats on a lifer too. ;D A good rare bird for our area as well. Only a couple are seen a year at best!
