When Thor arrived with his spotting scope we were able to get a close up view of the birds legs. At that point he noticed the bird was wearing a band on it's left leg. It was either black or navy coloured. This might suggest an escaped falconers bird or perhaps a banded wild bird. Hopefully we will get a response from the B.C. Birding site as to which. Stay tuned.

Took a look about 5 - 5:30pm, but no luck. But we did see a N. Harrier and a bear cutting across the brussel sprouts! Also at corner of Tuyttens & Whelpton in a cut cornfield... 61 Greater White-fronted Geese with over 50 C. Geese and a few Mallards.

Good going Kevin, boy that's a lot of White-fronts. It seems to be a big year for both them and the Black bears.
