Around 2:00 p.m. today while walking west along the Fraser dyke about I/2 km. from Tuyttens Rd. in Agassiz, were 23 very tame White-fronts, wandering around in the blueberry bushes. That was wonderful, but a few minutes later from across the river came the high-pitched laughing call of more of them. With my binoculars I was able to count between 65 and 70 birds as they circled around obviously planning on landing. Among them was one large, resident Canada. Eventually the flock split and approximately half headed at tree top level toward Cheam Wetlands were they may have landed. This time my camera was a-blazing and I think I may have got a few decent images. Also among the blueberries were around two dozen American Pipits. There were actually a lot of species this afternoon but I think most have been reported for the month. Murray

Murray: Great sighting. It's interesting how birders are reporting large groups of White fronted Geese on the majority of the regional listserves. Nice to see some of them are also heading our way. Cheers, Thor
