Hit the beach in Harrison about 8:30am and not much up. Way too windy for the little guys and the usual geese, mallards, widgeons and not much else. Then I was checking the logs and pillars by the marines and spotted... A White Pelican!!! Jumped in the car and headed to the gallary. It was still out there!!! By Killer's Cove Marine... Went tearing over there and pulled into the parking lot THERE IT WAS... a plastic scupture caping a post. Ya Gotta laugh... At least I got a Redhead out on the lake and an impressive C. Loon in the Lagoon.

Hehe, you bet I laughed!! ;D ;D ;D
Oh well, at least it wasnt a branch sticking out of the water or a bundle of dead leaves that did not fall from the tree when they were supposed to. I wont say how many times Ive whipped up the binoculars, or worse, moved into better position first, to view such anomalies.
Nice find on the Redhead. I think that might be the earliest I have on record for the fall.
