A little late for an invite but if anyone is interested in a little owling tonight (8:00) in Chilliwack with me and Dave send me a private message with a phone number and I can call to arrange from my cel. I will check my messages before I leave.
Target owl is Screech-owl but we will no doubt get one of the larger ones.
If there's interest in going owling at more of a reasonable notice let's see if we can organize something.

Thinking about perhaps going out with those interested this weekend. It will be in Chilliwack and will commence at about 8:30-9:00.
Please forgive what could look like needless secrecy and sneaking around. This is not the norm for this site. Owls are fairly sensitive and the method to view them usually involves actively perusing them. Thus, we have to be careful not to overdo it or to spread the word where they're located at risk of giving it too much attention. Sharing openly is important, but the welfare of the birds is even more important.
For those who would like to come, send me a private message letting me know if Friday or Saturday night is best for you.

I think Saturday's going to be my best shot so ignore the Friday night idea (hope not too many want it!)
Stuff to bring: Warm clothes. I picture finding a good spot to sit and then wait. It gets cool! Binoculars. Even though it's dark, when we put a weak flashlight on it you'll need the binoculars for a good view. Flashlight. Bring it for the walk but we'll only use one when we get down to business.
That's about it!

We've had a good response for the trip tomorrow that Ive had to say we're at max capacity for this one. If there's further interest Ill scout another location so we're not going back to the same one if at all possible.
