Got out from 8:30am to 10am with the scope. Several Mallards, Wood Ducks, Pied-billed Grebes and also saw the Green Heron and an Osprey fishing. Spotted smallish falcon, very striking Male Merlin. Seemed to be hawking for dragonflys. Chickadees and Yellow-rumped Warblers were joined by 2 Brown Creepers flitting through the trees. Spotted a female Scaup... judging by the rounded head, I'm guessing Greater, but could be wrong. Got home and spotted a Lewis's Woodpecker. ;D ;D ;D Then later a Second Lewis's showed up. Also Cooper's, Peregrine and later a Sharpie being harassed by a Kingfisher. Hundreds of Starlings and RWBBs over the Corn and a couple of Ravens in the big evergreen. Lots of Warblers, Goldfinches and Cedar Waxwings, and a few Evening Grosbeaks are hanging in.
