Mid-morning after helping with the grocery shopping I arrived home to a nice little flock of migrating warblers. There were Yellow, Orange-crowned and Yellow-rumped Warbler. Yellow Orange-crowned Peek! Yellow-rumped Common Yellowthroat were enjoying eating the caterpillars in the broccoli field. A family of House Finches were quite busy in the trees and on the ground. There were lots of swallow about. Mostly Barn Swallows but a few Violet-green and a lone Northern Rough-winged Swallow. The Barn Swallows are still feeding young. Wish I had more time, to perhaps head to Island 22 to see if there were good numbers there too but I was snapped back to reality with the wife reminding me that the icecream was melting. Maybe tomorrow!
