I have created some checklists for the area in both taxonomic and alphabetic order. They are also broken down to common species and all species recorded (that Im aware of) in the checklist area. Let me know what you think. Suggestions and comments always welcome to make it better and/or more user friendly. www2.webng.com/FVBirding/

At the expense of other updates to the website, I have put together a seasonal status of the birds in our checklist area. It is now ready for input and further contributions. I thought it would be most easy if the groundwork was completed and we just fill in the holes.
The species in red require some attention. The two scoter species I cannot find records for. I must have had or thought I had something to have placed them in the list. Hmmm.
Anyway, it's a draft. Ill fine tune many little things and make edits as comments come in to have the final product.
We're at about 287 species for our checklist area as of now.

Thanks for all the records! I should mention that it's best viewed at 125% in size. The slightly off center status bars will probably print properly. Will look into this further. When I put it from Excel into PDF it changed a few things.

Thanks, Dave! I was hoping that sharing the draft would help bring in other records and give other birders a chance to comment on and point out errors. This will be an ongoing task, at least from the new (either recent or old but previously unpublished) records standpoint.
Soon Ill highlight areas that need attention/input and then go in and modify once these areas get addressed. I hope that possibly we can have the 1st edition of our Seasonal Status ready to share electronically after that. Im also open to creating some hard copies if we want to go there and spend a little money. I have great contacts for printing such projects.

I have put out what Im calling the First Edition (or March 2008 edition...). I feel this list is fairly accurate in depicting the status of the birds on the list. As with any checklist, there is room for growth from both old records (as they are made known) and the new ones that always come up. The best way to contribute to the checklist and status is to examine the current edition and then send me things that are missing. This might include new species, records of rare species or early/late arrival or leaving of migratory birds. Check it out (link to the site provided above) and print a copy. I think it will be very interesting and possibly even helpful for newer birders as it gives a good idea of when to expect to see certain species. I look forward to comments and/or data to add to the list.

The checklist has been updated. Nothing major, just a few additional sightings for Prairie Falcon, inclusion of the new data for Greater Yellowlegs, the addition of Hoary Redpoll (thanks Jason!) and indication that the list encompasses Manning Park (will update the boundary map to reflect this).
In case you are wondering, the status bars that dont quite line up (for example as a species moves from 'common' to 'fairly common') is something to do with converting the excel file to a .pdf.
Next update will certainly have the new Blue Jay records!
