Marion and I got out for about 3 hours today. ;D Walked the Loop & Creek trails. No Purple Martin. Highlights: Cooper's Hawk chased by 4 E. Kingbirds. The Gray Catbird is still hanging about on the edge of the parking lot. 2 Band-tailed Pigeons and a female Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler. 3 female Hooded Mergansers.

Nice find on the catbird! Ever since the first day I saw it I have not seen it since even though I kept an eye and ear open for it. Maybe it settled in to nest very quickly and is not singing very much?
Good job!
Those mergansers could be a female and two fully grown young. At one point she had three young ones. An uncommon breeding species out here.
Thanks for the report!
