Now Im hesitant for this site to turn into an advertising outlet.
However, someone selling personal birding gear is ok ("Im upgrading and am selling my old scope"). The off topic section also has room for other items (i.e. Im tired of my Rod Stewart CD collection ;D ;D ;D ;D )
I also dont see a problem with someone sharing a good deal on something they found in a store (if they have nothing to gain from it) or giving a thumbs up to a particular brand (i.e. "I like Nikon cameras")
With those thoughts, let me move on.
Apparently Celestron has discontinuing their Regal series of binoculars and are selling them off at a very good price. I picked up a pair of 10 x 42's before Christmas from the Backyard Bird Store in Chilliwack. They were priced at $299.99 which is considerably lower than their usual ~$700.00 regular price. I am pleased with them considering I am partial to 10x50 binoculars. Their no fault lifetime warranty is also very appealing.
Im not sure if there are any left (I meant to share this a while ago), but if anyone's looking for a good pair of optics at a good price they should look into it!
