LEAST FLYCATCHER!! Nice work Kev!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
They, as you have seen (heard) do their Chee-BEK! usually in a series of three or four. A close species that has a similar call is a Hammond's Flycatcher but their song is a three part deal starting with a note that sounds similar to a Least but the other two are different. If you just hear the beginning of the song it could cause momentary confusion (especially in early spring when not singing much and then only part of the song)
The habitat there is perfect for Least Flycatcher too; Im not surprised at all you found one there. By now, Hammond's will be at higher elevations enjoying the tops of conifers (generally) and would be encountered there during migration.
Excellent work!

LIFER!!! Thanks for the ID, Gord. Seems a few "lesser" birds out there to make it an interesting June.
