This afternoon popped into Island 22 briefly. Finally saw some Black Swifts. There were about 30 of them feeding over the Fraser among Vaux's Swift and swallows. A Vaux's Swift for comparison This guy popped up for a look and probably for a break from looking around in muddy water. I wondered why this male Purple Finch came down low and scolded at me. Then I saw a little one fresh out of the nest near by. Snapped a picture and then let him believe he drove me away. Didnt see any Lazuli Buntings which was surprising.
