Good morning birding, 48 species on a nice 2 hour stroll. Still can't get a good look at the Soras, but saw both mom & pop Kestrel put the run on a Red-tailed. The female Kestrel seemed to be putting a little nesting material in the broken top of a Cottonwood. I've been keeping an eye out for a nest... I wonder if this is it? I'll keep watch... About 1pm, an Osprey flew through and perched for awhile in the big evergreen at the junction of the Cheam and Agassiz Sloughs. Then 9pm tonight, it seemed like a Kestrel was flying around with the Swifts & Swallows. But it seemed too lean. Got the new bins a checked it out. Spotted the white wing bars!!! Must be a Common Nighthawk. Checked the Sibley's and Yes, a lifer. ;D

Nice work on another lifer! ;D
Sounds like a probable nesting from those Kestrels too. Ive only ever seen one Kestrel nest in Nicomen Island.
Wow, 30 Blue-wings is certainly a substantial count too!!
