Spent a couple of hours at Cheam this afternoon (May 23) and found the following: Canada Geese Wood Ducks Mallards 4 Ring-necked Ducks 1 Lesser Scaup 4 Turkey Vultures 1 Bald Eagle (adult) 1 Downy Woodpecker calling Western Wood-Pewee (my first for the year) singing Warbling Vireo N. W. Crow Tree Swallows Barn Swallows B.C. Chickadees Marsh Wrens singing away Swainson's Thrushes singing Am. Robins 2 Cedar Waxwings Yellow Warbler singing Spotted Towhees "singing" Song Sparrows songing several Black-headed Grosbeaks singing Red Winged Blackbirds Bullock Oriole pair House Finches singing

Good to hear from you again, John! Reading your list of sightings reminded me that no one has reported a Red-eyed Vireo yet. Will it be June first??

Im behind again as usual but did have one Red-eyed singing at Cheam yesterday morning.
The May list grows!
John good to hear from you too! That might be one of the later Lesser Scaup records for the park.
