Hi all: Today, at Jack Delair's farm, there were many birds. At his feeders alone, he had Golden Crowned, and White Crowned Sparrows, American Goldfinch, Brown-headed Cowbird, Spotted Towhee, Pine Siskin, and Dark eyed Junco. Around the property I saw Savannah Sparrows, and two Townsend's Solitaires. Five species of swallow were soaring overhead, with some starting to nest in the many boxes he has put up around his property. I know he has a Barn Owl somewhere, which I believe would make it the most easterly nesting Barn Owl in B.C. I have seen it in his barn before, and there is all sorts of current evidence around that it is still there. Over the airport, were 4 Turkey Vultures, and an American Kestrel, many Yellow rumped Warblers, and an Orange crowned Warbler. The Evening Grosbeak which seem to be everywhere this year in numbers, are cleaning me out of birdseed every couple of days. It would be great if we could get an update on the reported Costa's Humingbird in Abbbotsford. Cheers, Thor

Thanks again, Thor, for keeping us up-to-date. Pretty soon you can publish a checklist just for Jack's property! Let me know when you buy the place . Dave
