Before I got out of my vehicle I saw the Rosy-Finches near the lagoon. This was the largest flock I have seen. Behind them were the three Snow Buntings. My first buntings since I was in Fort St John. Two Barrow's Goldeneyes were in the lagoon along with some Scaup. 5 Horned Grebes and two Red-necked Grebes were on the lake.
Cheam wasn't overly active but there was one Ruddy Duck.
In the afternoon I did a walk at the Heron Reserve. Around 1800 Cackling and about 300 Snow Geese were in the field near the reserve. Quite the noise!
On the south side of the main lagoon, I heard a call note of interest. I think it was a Black Phoebe. I couldn't locate the bird but if you are out there keep your eyes open.
Made a slight detour on the way home and had a Bonaparte's Gull on Gibson Rd.

I forgot to mention, does anyone know what Harrison is doing around the lagoon? They have taken the majority of vegetation out. Hopefully, they will put in more plants.
