Long-billed Syndrome

Some of you may have seen an article in the Province where I was interviewed about some photos I took of Hawks with long-billed syndrome. I received an email from Turkey today with the attached photo.
"
Dear Len,

I came across a news article quoting you on oddly shaped beaks in birds
at your area. Someone I know has recently taken a picture of a Raven
with an enormously long upper beak here in Turkey. It is a wonder how
the bird survived but Ravens are, of course, very smart. I attach the
photo taken by Emre Kaytan.

I also found it interesting that my mother-in-law in Edmonton phoned to say she saw the article in the Edmonton journal a week before it was in the Province.
