Hi Some of you may have seen an article in the Province where I was interviewed about some photos I took of Hawks with long-billed syndrome. I received an email from Turkey today with the attached photo. " Dear Len, I came across a news article quoting you on oddly shaped beaks in birds at your area. Someone I know has recently taken a picture of a Raven with an enormously long upper beak here in Turkey. It is a wonder how the bird survived but Ravens are, of course, very smart. I attach the photo taken by Emre Kaytan. Cheers, Can Dr. Can Bilgin Biodiversity and Conservation Lab Department of Biology Middle East Technical University Ankara 06531 TURKEY I thought it was interesting how information spreads around the world.

Thanks for sharing, Len. It sure is a smaller world now-a-days! I missed the article, but if it is online, can you post a link to it on this site? I would like to read it.

Len, good stuff. Dad clipped that article out of the paper a few days ago and I meant to mention it and congratulate you as well!
So neat how things travel the globe!
