Hope Airport was a little more active than I thought it would be. A lot of WC Sparrows at the northeast end. I've noticed a few Siskins around the Chilliwack area but there were many around the airport. Saw a large flock of around 40. A few other smaller flocks were present as well. I did encounter a small mixed flock of warblers, tanagers, and one Warbling Vireo.
Thacker Park wasn't too active. Again, a lot of siskins. I thought there might be a duck or maybe even a shorebird but nothing that I saw in the marsh.

I have had 45 to 50 Siskins in the yard for a couple of weeks and as you said building numbers everywhere around Hope. There were 6 WC sparrows in the yard for a couple of weeks, at the airport the WC sparrows have just showed up in the last few days. Otherwise it has been very quiet, but I have just started walking.

Certainly has been busier than normal for Pine Siskin this summer. I've noticed a few Evening Grosbeaks again too. Perhaps we'll have a few around this fall. Ken, I'm really glad to hear that you're on your feet and progressing with your healing. Great news.
