Did a walk at Willband this morning. Besides Mallards and Canada Geese, there was a family of Gadwall, three Wigeons, and 11 Wood Ducks. When I have been out biking, I've noticed fewer Tree Swallows around and more Barn Swallows. Today at Willband was no different. I also had around 8 Cliff Swallows.
Had good numbers of Common Yellowthroats and Marsh Wrens, but unfortunately, no Bittern.
The highway was busy so I made a detour through Sumas Prairie. No shorebirds but there is good potential for the turf farm on Dixon and Marion.
