June is the final hurrah for spring migration time before a typically more quiet July arrives as the birds are in maximum breeding effort. We usually get an average 128 species but even this month can be a tad slower.

While going for a drive today, Dave and I were surprised to see an Osprey sitting on the railing halfway over the Mission-Matsqui Bridge.
Among the usual suspects, we also saw a few American Kestrels, a Red-tailed Hawk, and a few Eurasian Collared-Doves. It was a good day to be birding, today.
Oh yeah, some Cliff Swallows are back at the quarry. Klaus

Got some good additions

I had an American Redstart near Browne Creek Wetlands the other day. Also added Bufflehead from Harrison and Ring-necked Duck at Cheam Lake.

Klaus, neat encounter with the Osprey. They almost seem to be getting a bit more common nesting? There’s a nest at the ball diamond in Chilliwack Ive heard. It’s on top of the big lights.

Chris a later Meadowlark for sure. Never know when and where something pops up.
