During a bike this morning I had four Chipping Sparrows singing. Two were off of Brinx Rd, one off the Ballam Rd Dyke and another one was on Bell Rd. They seem to be getting more numerous in our area.
Last year, there were two pairs of Western Kingbirds nesting on Bell Rd. One pair was just west of McSween Rd. I saw those for the first time this year. The ones nesting near the greenhouse I have seen a few times but haven't seen them in about a week.
Lastly, there is a nice pond on Bell Rd. I have had Least Sandpipers, Yellowlegs, one Solitary Sandpiper, and today a Pectoral Sandpiper. I saw a lot of them in the Peace.
