In searching for new phone/binocular options to help with ID and birding enjoyment, a camera was suggested. So, I decided to get a cheap phone and spend more on a camera. I know it's nothing like some of you pros have, but I'm pretty happy with my first couple of shoots. I'm a complete beginner and haven't even edited these pics at all, but I thought I would share them just for fun. One of the moon pics (the "yellower" one) was taken with no tripod and it's still decent.
I thought the photo of the merganser and the goldeneye was interesting as well. Their colour patterns are quite similar.
These photos were taken at pretty much the out-of-the-box factory settings, so I'm more than open to tips/suggestions.

Those photos look great! Not sure about the settings on that specific camera but I don't think you would need to change that much.

Once you're more comfortable you could consider a program like Lightroom to make adjustments to exposure, highlights, shadows, etc. Certainly don't change anything for now and I'm looking forward to seeing more photos!!
