This Mallard X was on Nicomen Slough, it appears to be a cross. What do you all think? Its head is brown, when the other Mallards turned into the light they showed that Mallard Green. Looks like domestic (influence) to me.

Yes, I agree. Some domestic Mallards have that rusty plumage look. I've seen it quite a few times.

Yes, I agree. Some domestic Mallards have that rusty plumage look. I've seen it quite a few times. I have not seen that myself, but I know wild Mallards love to join domestic flocks of domestic ducks and geese. Thanks for the info guys.
