This afternoon I happened upon a flock of Grey-crowned Rosy-Finch at the intersection of Annis and Chilliwack Central Roads. They seemed quite interested in the ditch and had flown up from there as I approached. They circled around twice and almost landed beside my car before heading off. When it was apparent they weren't coming back, I tried for a photo, only managing silhouettes, but was able to get a count of at least 37 birds. All seemed to be the expected Hepburn's subspecies but the interior Grey-crowned ones have been seen now and then before.
