While the car was getting new tires and it wasn't raining, I decided to do a birding walk around the perimeter of Walmart and theater. It was productive with most small birds found at the north side near the Home Depot. An Orange-crowned Warbler was here; likely one of the birds I saw when I did a similar walk around Home Depot a couple weeks ago. I walked over to Parr Road and walked there as well. One highlight was a young male Greater Scaup. I don't think I've seen one at this location before. I took a photo to document the occasion and also because Greater Scaup just isn't that common in the Fraser Valley. Greater in front and a Lesser behind. _0232985 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Another possible first for the location five Wilson's Snipe that were flushed up across the field by the farmer. Ruby-crowned Kinglets are still regular finds with several spotted on both checklists.
