At the East Sector park in Harrison there were four White-throated Sparrows. I managed to get three in one photo. Wow, this has been quite the start for them this fall. _0231631 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Red-osier Dogwood berries were popular as well. A sort of getting late Swainson's Thrush was eating them along with a White-throated Sparrow. _0231627 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Grey Catbird. I don't expect to see them for much longer into September either. _0231635 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr A raptor flying past in the distance turned out to be a young Golden Eagle. Managed a poor photo to celebrate the first of fall for me _0231638 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Cackling Geese are in at Cheam Lake as well today. Two flocks, numbering 31 total, Greater White-fronted Geese also flew in to join them.
