I’m sitting at one of my favourite “Sparrow Spots” in Abbotsford, and I am happy to say that it is very active again. This particular spot is on Potter Road off the west end of Vye before Sumas Way. If you’re into sparrows and other small passerines, this is a great spot to sit and watch. Once we get into fall and winter there will be raptors overhead, waterfowl in the field, and gulls congregating on the barn roof just across the field.
Other sparrow spots I love are the corner of McKenzie and Farmer Road, partway down Kenny Rd, and the middle section of the road at Hougen Park on Cole Road.
